Here is what you can do TODAY

Even an hour of your time would help.

To volunteer, call (319)-337-8683 or stop by our office at 36 Sturgis Corner Drive. Our office is open Monday-Thursday 9am-9pm, Friday and Saturday 9am-7pm, and Sunday 12pm-8pm. Call or do data entry at the office—a great way to meet and work with fellow Democrats.  You can find out about our canvass activities as well.  You can even get call lists that you can do at home if you would like. Donate office supplies—call and see what our current needs are.   A plate of cookies or other treats would help “stoke” our volunteers and lift their spirits to do yet another list.  .

Fill out a vote-by-mail application—and get your friends and relatives in to apply as well.  This is an important part of our efforts—this allows us to be more effective in late October on Election Weekend since it reduces the number of voter contacts we need to do then.

Talk to your friends and relatives about the importance of this election.  After the excitement of the historical 2008 Presidential Election and the many Democratic victories we celebrated, this up-coming election might seem tame in comparison.  With Grassley’s recent record and a great candidate Roxanne Conlin we have a good chance to make history again with a second Democratic Senator.  With a re-election of Governor Culver and our Democratic State Legislators we can continue to make Iowa a progressive state we can be proud of.  With the re-election of Dave Loebsack, we will continue to have a hard working and responsive Representative in Washington.

Even if you don’t have the time right now to help out there is an important way you can helpDonations are urgently needed to support our Coordinated Campaign office. You can send a check to Johnson County Democrats P. O. Box 1773 Iowa City Iowa 52245,

or donate online (CLICK HERE TO DONATE).
