The symposium “The Politics of Immigration”

This symposium will include panels of academics, politicians, political consultants and community members discussing different aspects of how the politics around the topic of immigration is playing out around the country. It is part of the Run Up to the 2016 Caucus series of events, which will examine different political topics, such as election reform, campaign finance, political discourse, and others.

The Iowa United Nations Association along with UI Professor Jerald Schnoor, co-founder of the Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research, are presenting a symposium to inform and mobilize Iowans in support of climate change efforts on Saturday, April 18, 2015. It will be held at the University Athletic Club, 1360 Melrose Ave., Iowa City from 10am – 2pm. Professor Schnoor will deliver the keynote, and will be joined by student panels from UI and ICCSD HS. Lunch will be available at a cost.
