IOWA CITY — Johnson County Democratic Party Chair Ed Cranston has released the following statement regarding the results of tonight’s special election:

“Tonight, the voters in Johnson County spoke clearly: Jon Green will be the next supervisor of Johnson County. Jon will be a fantastic supervisor. He will bring the skills and understanding that he demonstrated during his time as mayor of Lone Tree, and he’ll fight for our county’s progressive values while in office. My gratitude goes out to all of the voters, activists, and grassroots allies that made tonight’s victory possible.”
