  1. 1.       9 Executive Committee Members present plus 5 guests
  2. 2.      ICE –
    1. a.      Karen and Brad have updated the Electeds, adding links and campaigns.  Associate Central Committee members are on a separate list under Central Committee.
    2. b.      Volunteer sign up is up and running
    3. c.       Calendar is linked to 2nd District
  3. 3.      Harkin Grant – It was based on self-analysis the Exec Board did – up to $2000– our outreach will be for Minorities, Rural and Youth.  The Grant was submitted a few days early by Mike and Gerene and we should hear back at the Harkin Event on Sept 15.  We would use the money to buy food for outreach event.  Gerene will be putting these together.  Danielle offered to help.
  4. 4.      Thanks to everyone who came out and marched in the Parades this summer.  Homecoming is October 4 and we paid $100 to have more than 30 people.  We will be marching with the UDems.  Asking if we can have two vehicles – one with the signs and one that will have seats for people to sit.
  5. 5.      BBQ – 300-400 mailing next week to sponsors.  1500 – 2000 will be sent out to advertise.
  6. 6.      John spoke on the caucuses this January.  The Republicans chose Jan 25 and the Democrats currently have Jan 21 which means people will be able to vote in both if they so choose.  Iowa’s first in the Nation is already in Jeopardy – we need to make sure these dates are the same.
  7. 7.      Due to the Holidays the Nov 28th Exec Committee will be held on Nov 21st and the Dec 26th Exec Committee will be held on Dec 19th.
