2010 Caucus Information
WHY: The Iowa Caucus is the basic biennial Democratic organizing tool setting the stage for the next two years in electing the County Central Committee, electing County Convention delegates and putting forth issues for the platforms at the County, District, and State level.
WHO: All Democrats are welcome to participate. You do not need to say you are coming — just show up at your precinct location at caucus time. You need to be a registered Democrat in Johnson County, but if you are a resident, a citizen, and will be 18 on or before November 3, 2010 YOU CAN REGISTER AT THE CAUCUS!
WHEN: This year (for the first time) caucuses will be on SATURDAY JANUARY 23 at 1:00. The meetings will be short, unlike Presidential Caucuses — perhaps an hour or so.
WHERE: IMPORTANT — Your caucus location is generally different from your regular voting location. This consolidation has been done to save money since many locations are not free on Saturdays. YOU MUST PARTICIPATE AT THE MEETING FOR YOUR PRECINCT, NOT A DIFFERENT PRECINCT.

We have three ways for you to locate your caucus: by precinct, or by location.
