Upcoming Events & Opportunities to Volunteer

The Johnson County Democratic Party participates in many events throughout the year. The events listed below will often be hosted by other organizations, but we’ll be at least attending each. If you want to receive regular updates about upcoming fundraising and volunteer events, please subscribe to our weekly newsletter.

As part of our community outreach, the JC Dems sponsor the free lunch program once a month in even numbered months. If you’d like more information about contributing time or money to the program, please inquire with robin.roseman@gmail.com. The next free lunch will take place April 6; please scroll down for more info.

Friday, April 6, 2018 – Free Lunch Program
1105 Gilbert Court, 9:30-11:30 & 11:30-2:00ish

The first Friday of every even-numbered month (February, April, June, August, October, December) the Johnson County Democrats and OFA cook and serve the free lunch program. We usually serve around 120 people.

The first shift (9:30-11:30) is prep. We make the food, clean the dining room, take down the chairs, prepare the drinks–anything that needs to be done before the doors open. The second shift (11:30-1:30ish) is when we serve and clean-up. If you are interested in helping during one of the shifts please let Robin Roseman (robin.roseman@gmail.com) know. It is an enjoyable event.
